Tabligh Akbar in Celebration of Pekanbaru’s 241st Anniversary
Pekanbaru – Ustadz Hanan Hattaki is set to lead a Tabligh Akbar event organized by the Pekanbaru City Government at the An-Nur Grand Mosque, Jalan Sultan Syarif Kasim, on Sunday evening, June 22, 2025.
In a video posted by Ustadz Hanan Hattaki, he invited the public to attend the Tabligh Akbar in conjunction with Pekanbaru’s 241st Anniversary.
“I invite the youth of Pekanbaru and surrounding areas to come to the An-Nur Grand Mosque,” said Hanan Hattaki.
He mentioned that aside from the Tabligh Akbar, there will also be a bazaar at the event location. The Tabligh Akbar will start at 7:00 PM and is open to the public free of charge.
Pekanbaru Mayor, Agung Nugroho, also encouraged the community to join the Tabligh Akbar with Ustadz Hanan Hattaki.
“We invite all Pekanbaru residents to strengthen our faith and piety by attending the Tabligh Akbar on Sunday,” said the Mayor.
The Pekanbaru City Government opted for a religious atmosphere for the peak night of the city’s 241st anniversary celebration. This time, instead of showcasing dangdut music entertainment, an Islamic study session with Ustadz Hanan Hattaki will be presented.
Agung expressed that the city government intentionally changed the celebration pattern to make it more meaningful and spiritually enriching for the community.
“This year, we want to commemorate the anniversary more reflectively. Let us listen to a study that soothes the soul and provides guidance for life in this world and the hereafter,” explained Agung.
