Senator Sewitri from Pelalawan Riau, Sewitri, SE, M. Sos, confirmed that she will bring all input, complaints, and suggestions from the community to the parliament. This was conveyed during the socialization of the four pillars of the MPR RI in Pangkalan Kerinci on Sunday (31/5/2025).

“I will convey all the input and complaints from the people today to the relevant ministries, especially in committee 3. If it is related to other committees, I will convey it to my fellow senators from Riau,” said Sewitri.

Sewitri explained that the four pillars that are the obligation of every senator to socialize to the community are important to maintain the unity of the nation and state.

“So, these four pillars, the 1945 Constitution, Pancasila, Unity in Diversity, and the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia are a unity that must remain intact,” explained Sewitri.

If one of these pillars, added Sewitri, is damaged or not implemented, it could undermine the nation’s way of life and statehood. “Therefore, it is our duty to uphold and implement these four pillars,” Sewitri emphasized.

During the socialization attended by hundreds of residents consisting of housewives, youth, and students, a dialogue was also conducted.

One of the complaints from residents was voiced by Sri Mulyani, the head of the RT in Pangkalan Kerinci, who complained about the data of the recipients of the Family Hope Program (PKH) that has not changed for decades. She mentioned that every year, the RT head has submitted data of poor residents eligible to receive PKH.

“Meanwhile, the data of PKH recipients issued every year is outdated, showing that these residents are prosperous, owning motorcycles, nice houses, and even cars. So, please accept the changes in the PKH data that we have proposed,” said Sri Mulyani.

Residents also expressed complaints about agrarian conflicts with companies, damaged road infrastructure, and educational issues.

“Thank God today’s socialization of the four pillars is different. God willing, all the aspirations and complaints of the residents will be fought for in the parliament later,” promised Sewitri.
